Love is in the air...and I crashed it.

My First ever wedding-crasher experience... and I picked a damn good wedding to invite myself too, I could very well get use to this!

Daughter and Heiress of a millionaire property owner and former fiancé of Australian tennis player Mark Phlippoussis, Alexis Barbara, 21 (Aquarius), married this weekend to Ecuadorian Luis Isaias, 27 (Taurus) who also comes from a well to do family most notably involved in the Ecuadorian banking industry and Pacific Cable Television, Inc. Their wedding reception was at the luxurious Setai Hotel on South Beach, where the "standard room" starts a little under a grand for the night. They were registered at Barney's of New York, and according to the registry site it seems that their never ending gift list request was fulfilled, between the tactful price range of $10-$2500.

The very lavish event was, and I quote and agree that this was "the wedding of the year", as I overheard Karla Dascal of Karla Conceptual Event Experiences say that night.

The cocktail party took place poolside with elaborate white rose decor, onsite sushi chefs making hand rolls, an array of h'orderves and of course a full bar with all top shelf alcohol. For a wedding reception it seemed easy to confuse locals passing by on the boardwalk as a celebrity or gala event.

Every woman was in a designer gown and the men in tuxedos. There was a some kind of live performance and fireworks display and when that was over, guest were led to this 10,000 person capcity tent located on the beach. The walkway was lit by candles that led us there.

The Tent was decorated in white orchids with white modern leather sofas sourrounding the dance floor. There was a full course gourmet buffet that catered nothing below a 5 star eattery. For entertainment? A live performance by Colombian band Fonseca and of course DJ's. The cake was about 6 ft high consisting of fried beignets in chocolate, caramel and other assorted flavors that you simply hand pulled off from the tier.

Before the tradition bouquet and garter toss festivities began, masquerade masks were passed out to all the guests, men had either silver or black half faced masks and then women received the various styles and colors of feathers and sequence, it felt very Eyes Wide Shut minus the female nudity.

The bride was wearing a Spring 09 Carolina Herrera Baccarat embroided column dress, of which turned in a mid-thigh length dress when the bottom detachable portion was removed.

During the garter toss, an awkward and very noticeable disagreement between the newly weds took place during the garter toss when it what seems to be that he forgot his cue for the number that they were suppose to perform. She had a fit over the frustration aggressively telling him to "just rip it off, pull it off" and when she began to pull the bottom portion of the gown off, when he caught on he lifted her up ripped the rest of the gown off and hastily threw the Herrera gown into the crowd. I was glad I got to enjoy that, because there is nothing better then a little drama... a great foresight of what the groom has coming to him.

I made way to the amazing dessert table and had myself some Tiramisu, and Crème Brule and snuck out the way I snuck in, and walked away with a cool experience!
